Filter
The filter works well for about 6 months but is much less effective after that. Very disappointing. MULTIPURE RESPONSE: The CB5 filter capacity is 400 gallons, customers will this product replace their filter every 6 months due to using the 400 gallons in that time period.

Water filter
I believe the filter is a great filter. I have sold the WaterDome water purification system since mid 1970s and Multi Pure was company that supplied the filters. The only complaint I have is the price of the filter replacement cartilage. MULTIPURE COMMENT: Can save 15% by signing up for the auto shipment program.

This filter works with a undercounter filter I have used for several years and bought it through a company who no longer sells it. I was referred to Multipure to buy a compatible filter and am so greatful that it works well with my filter unit. Good tasting water.

Great filter
Have used these for decades. Only downside is the toggle switch on the hose. It cannot be cleaned so I go through hoses more than I'd like. Also filter is ineffective after 9 mo. But it's still a very good filter for the money. MULTIPURE RESPONSE: The filter capacity for the CB5 filter is the following so replacing the filter every 6-12 months is normal: Capacity: 400 gallons.
