After returning from our amazing 40th anniversary conference, one of our Natinoal Award wiining distributors, Deanna DeLong, shared this letter with her team. I thought it was so inspiring that I wanted to share it with you!

David and I just returned from Las Vegas . . . and the best Multi-Pure conference ever!
Zac Rice’s outstanding State of the Industry address just reinforced the fact that no one should be drinking tap water . . . or bottled!
We met and visited with Dr. Andrew Fenwick, the head of our research lab. What a sharp cookie!! He and his team are leading Multi-Pure’s new product development, testing, and innovative ideas beyond our wildest dreams. It is so exciting to hear about what is coming which will keep Multi-Pure as the foremost leader in the industry.
Alvin Rice, our President, concluded the conference with a bang, announcing the exciting new things that are in the pipeline.
Long-time independent distributors, Will and Gemma McCoy, are legends at Multi-Pure. They are inspiring leaders who continue to motivate us all. I received a copy of a letter they sent out recently, after returning from our incredible 40th anniversary conference in Las Vegas this week, and asked them if I could share it with all of you:

We have just returned from our trip to Vegas for the 40 year anniversary celebration and conference. WOW!!
Before we get too busy here at the ranch with our timely spring projects..... cutting the field grasses, fireproofing, trimming the trees, mending the fences, ongoing landscaping, and preparing our 40,000 gallon earth bottom Koi pond for the spawning season........and other great outdoor labors of love on our 236 acres of paradise in the remote Northern California mountains......we just want to convey a few words about this experience we had with our MP Family in Vegas......
It was a stunning and transformational event. Hard to describe the feeling of this great celebration without saying that this was a life-changing and deeply inspiring time to be with the Execs and staff at MP and to enjoy some of the worlds finest MP distribs all in one place together. We feel very fortunate and are glad we went!
For more than 30 years, the American Water Works Association and its members have celebrated Drinking Water Week – a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together to recognize the vital role water plays in our daily lives.
National Drinking Water Week, observed May 1-7, 2011, encouraged Americans to think more about their water choices and how they affect your health, your wallet and our planet. Consumers had the opportunity to learn about the source, treatment and quality of drinking water through various water-related events in their hometowns.
"Alarmingly, 85% of plastic bottles end up in landfills,” said National Association of Water Companies (NAWC) executive director Michael Deane. One Multi-Pure cartridge is equivalent to about 12,000 individual 8 oz. plastic water bottles!
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency advises consumers to be aware of potential pollution threats and to have their water tested periodically by a certified laboratory. Multi-Pure water filters have the widest range of certification available on the market today, based on NSF certifications and standards.
Multi-Pure International began celebrating National Water Week on May 1st, as part of our 40th anniversary conference in Las Vegas. Independent distributors and dealers from around the world joined in celebration, which included motivational and educational seminars, VIP dinners, and an award recognition program.

Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman declares April 29, 2011 as Multi-Pure International Day, in honor of the company’s 40th anniversary. Multi-Pure International has been a leader in the drinking water systems industry since 1970.
The April 29th celebration at Multi-Pure’s corporate headquarters will feature a red carpet tour and breakfast for visiting guests, flag ceremony, as well as a tree planting to recognize National Arbor Day. The corporate headquarters is located at 7251 Cathedral Rock Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
Founded in 1970 by brothers H. Allen & Alvin Rice, the company has grown to be one of the largest manufacturers of carbon block filters in the world and is certified by NSF to reduce more contaminants than any other filter on the market.
Multi-Pure was founded on December 7th, 1970 as a marketing company, selling point-of-use drinking water systems door-to-door in the Los Angeles area. By the mid 1970’s, the company had developed the carbon block filter, and was actively manufacturing for its own Multi-Pure brand as well as the OEM market. In addition to manufacturing, Multi-Pure opened a network marketing program in 1982. Not that we're showing our age....
Multi-Pure recently celebrated our 40th anniversary. Cue the facelift.
For many months we've been busy painting, tiling, carpeting, updating fixtures, appliances, furniture and cabinetry and more in preparation for the Red Carpet Tour in two weeks when our wonderful distributors come to town for our 40th anniversary conference! They're even re-tarring the parking lot as I speak! (write)
Special tours will be offered on Friday, April 29th from 8:30 am until noon. Please join us for our fancy schmancy tour, Earth Day tree planting ceremony, and lots of fun mingling with staff and other distributors!
So what happened to all of our old stuff? We donated it, of course! The Salvation Army of Las Vegas was the grateful recipient of an entire truckload of furniture and supplies. Multi-Pure is all about GREEN, which includes recycling all of our well-loved and used office materials.
Earth Day is only a couple of weeks away, so I’ve got GREEN on my mind. Green planet stuff, of course, but also green money! I’m constantly amazed at what a wonderful business opportunity Multi-Pure offers to people looking to improve their lives. I’ve been thinking of 3 familiar “Earth Day” words: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and how they apply to the Multi-Pure business opportunity:
* REDUCE: Reduce the amount of time and effort you put into moneymaking activities. Everyone is looking for ways to earn a little extra income during these tough economic times. People are also looking for ways to get safer drinking water while spending less money. Multi-Pure can help you do both. The products and business model are simple and effective.
* REUSE: Reuse the resources and systems you have available to make more money with less effort and minimal setup time.
